DIRECTOR AND PRODUCER- Tamar Kay was born in 1985 in Jerusalem, Israel. Prior to her film studies, Tamar completed a dual degree in Psychology and Philosophy at the Hebrew University. Tamar graduated The Jerusalem Sam Spiegel Film & Television School in 2015.
Tamar is the Director and Co-Producer of The Mute's House (doc., 30 mins). The film was shortlisted for the Academy Awards (Oscars) 2017 for the best documentary short subject. The film won numerous awards in festivals such as: IDFA, Krakow FF, Full Frame and more and was selected for many international festivals. Winner of the Israeli Documentary Filmmakers Forum in the student category, was nominated for the Ophir awards (Israeli Academy Awards) 2016 & was a finalist in the Student Academy Awards (USA) 2016.
Tamar is the Editor of the TV Mini Series Documentary, "Shir Ahava Standarti" (Dir: Avida Livny, Produced by Norma Productions), broadcasted on the YesDocu channel in 2017.
Currently Tamar is a Scriptwriter in a new 12 episode TV series of Joseph Madmony & David Ofek, which will broadcast on "Kaan", the Israeli Public channel. In addition, Tamar is Co-Directing with Yair Agmon a 10 episode web series focusing on elderly people. The series will be broadcasted on the Israeli Public channel, "kaan" at 2018.
Tamar had edited numerous short films that were screened in many festivals and won awards, both locally and internationally.Parallel to her filmmaking, Tamar is as a lecturer at the field of Cinema & New Media.
PRODUCER- Ariel Richter is an American-born Israeli producer and filmmaker. He graduated summa cum laude from The Jerusalem Sam Spiegel Film & Television School's Production Program in 2014. During his studies he produced over a dozen films, including the feature-length documentary Footsteps in Jerusalem. Since graduating, Ariel has worked in a variety of key roles in the Israeli film industry, including as the Deputy Director of The Sam Spiegel International Film Lab (Son of Saul, One Week and a Day, The Kindergarten Teacher) and as a Junior Producer at the Tel Aviv based production company Black Sheep. Since 2017, Ariel is the director of the Jerusalem Film Festival's Israeli Competitions and Industry Days, while continuing to develop films as an independent producer.
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY- Zvi Landsman is an Israeli cinematographer and director. He graduated with honors from The Jerusalem Sam Spiegel Film & Television School. Since graduating, Zvi has been a DoP on the American TV show The Watchman and various documentary films. His directorial thesis film, After All, won honorable mentions at the Munich Filmschool Fest and at the Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival, and was screened in many others.
EDITOR- Shira Mazuz is an Israeli film editor. She is a graduate of The Jerusalem Sam Spiegel Film & Television School, with films as a director and editor, which were screened in many festivals. Shira is continuing her academic endeavors, and will soon graduate the Hebrew University, studying comparative literature.
COMPOSER- Alon Peretz is an Israeli composer and sound artist. He holds a BA and MA in composition from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. As a sound artist, Alon works with a unique multi-speaker system. Alon has written music for dozens of films and dance productions, and composed original pieces for symphonic and chamber orchestras.
